From diseases to medieval culture
Saturday, July 17, 2010
This evening I finished reading Disease and History by Frederick F. Cartwright (published 1972), and it was quite the fascinating book. Not only was the author's style easy to read, but he was able to paint sweeping scenes through history in a very intriguing way. Unfortunately, assignments for my c... read more »
My Family Really Loves Me!
Friday, July 16, 2010
Today my younger sister, Jessica, decided to use me as the subject of a mini-study for a social psychology assignment. She was to ask individuals who know the subject (me) to describe the subject's characteristics using adjectives, how many characteristics were used, and if these characteristics agr... read more »
Dispatches from the Frontlines
Thursday, July 15, 2010
Dispatch from the frontlines: 15 July 2010 at 1:54pm I have forced "correlation" into submission. The conquest was arduous and perilous at times; however, I adhered to the wise words of Commander Nesbit: "Never give up! Never surrender!" The battle may have been won, but the war is not over. Reports... read more »
New Treasures!
Thursday, July 15, 2010
I visited a local Goodwill today and ended up spending $40. (Unbelievable!) The majority of that was for a $29.99 winter coat that is amazing! It is mid-thigh in length, tan in color, and probably leather (?) with fur (faux fur?) trim at the collar and cuffs. It is so hard to find a winter coat that... read more »

Statistics... Why did it have to be statistics?
Tuesday, July 6, 2010
I have spent three hours on my Statistics class so far today – and that was just reading Chapters 1 & 2 and making flashcards for all of the billions of definitions. I have not even started on the dozens of homework problems from both chapters. Fortunately, after reading and writing out all of... read more »
Personal Site: Makeover
Friday, July 2, 2010
For over six months, I have been intending to re-do my personal site, but one thing or another kept me from fulfilling this desire. Now that I am working on my sister's music site (Coming soon: www.JessicaFisherMusic.com ) and I am getting farther along in my design courses, it is important that my ... read more »
The Vegan Project: Seven Month Update
Tuesday, June 29, 2010
On January 4, 2010, I made the radical decision to change to a vegan diet. It did not take any long deliberation nor did I transition into the vegan diet slowly. On January 3rd, I was adhering to the clean and unclean meats of Leviticus 11 , and on January 4th, I stopped eating any kind of animal pr... read more »
Playing Around With CSS
